Family owned and operated by the
Mannino family, Roma Ristorante
Italiano opened its first location in 1976 in Tappahannock, VA.
It was here that Anna Mannino learned her craft as a restaurateur
serving as a cashier and waitress during her teens. In 1979, Anna
and her father opened another Italian restaurant in Richmond's East End on
Nine Mile Road. Eventually, Anna married and took over operations at
the Nine Mile Rd. restaurant. Her sons grew up with Anna in the
restaurant business. Now Anna and her oldest
son Sal manage the newest Roma in Sandston while her husband and two
younger sons run the Nine Mile Road establishment. Over the years,
Roma Ristorante Italiano has earned a reputation for freshness and
distinctive family recipes with that unique Sicilian flair.
